Former pupil returns as new director of marketing and admissions at Loughborough Schools Foundation

Ms Claire Bale has been appointed as director of marketing and admissions at Loughborough Schools Foundation, taking up the position from August 2026.

Once a pupil at Loughborough High School herself, Claire’s journey has come full circle as she approaches the role with a unique and insightful perspective.

Claire brings a wealth of educational experience with her, having worked in corporate marketing for many years, and more recently stepping into education, where her passion lies. Claire is preparing to graduate in a Masters in Education and also recently served as charity trustee for Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature, helping to support the organisation with its goals developing projects and partnerships to promote literacy and building a better future with words. She also held the role of head of EDI at the Girls’ Day School Trust, helping to lead work on inclusion and belonging across the independent school sector.

Claire said: “It is an honour to come back to Loughborough Schools Foundation to take on this role. Having started out here as a pupil, it feels like a full circle moment. I’m keen to bring my marketing experience and passion for education to the Foundation and help families choose the right education for them.

“It is important to me to not only highlight the brilliant work happening within the Foundation already, but to build on it by encouraging new students of all backgrounds into the schools.

“There is an amazing community within LSF, with a real sense of pride and ongoing innovation. What makes it distinctive is the mix of single-sex and co-educational opportunities across the Foundation schools, which lets children learn in the environment that suits them best while still sharing a campus, activities and friendships.”

Claire’s appointment is set to help the Foundation provide a truly enriching experience for its pupils, parents and staff, strengthening the Schools’ position within the wider community and beyond.

Claire added: “The world has changed a great deal since I was a student at Loughborough High School, but what has not changed is the Foundation’s commitment to providing an excellent education. Our staff are truly amazing at supporting and inspiring the pupils at our schools and nursery, and our pupils help to bring those ambitions to life through their love of learning.

“We want every young person here to not only achieve excellent grades, but to also have an experience that shapes their childhood and their adult life, one they will always remember.

“I’m excited to embark on this journey with the Foundation and to help shape its direction for years to come.”
